Fashionistas say that one of the best things about fall is “layering.” And though I’m keen to agree, at the moment, it’s getting a bit out of hand.

The other day I was over at my dear friend Marie’s house for an afternoon tea and when it was time to go, we couldn’t help but notice that it literally took me almost five minutes to get entirely wrapped up in all my layers…

There’s the cardigan (that sometimes has to be worn inside.) Then there’s the inner coat — the puffy jacket — on top of the cardigan. Then the outer military coat with the 5 million buttons, plus the scarf carefully wrapped in a special way, the bonnet, and the gloves…

So, what I’m saying is, if layering is cool, I may be campaigning for awesome. Either that or giving Randy from A Christmas Story a run for his money.

Maybe a bit less cool, and a bit more cumbersome.

That’s me. Everyday.

Anyway, this has nearly nothing to do with my favorites, other than just a Parisian slice of life for you: Il fait froid.

Special note for the Frenchies: Nous avons mis des sous-titres en français sur YouTube. Il suffit de cliquer sur le petit “CC.”

So, here we go for another installment of monthly favorites…

Hope you enjoyed my October Favorites!

Speaking of favorites… did you know that Italian is one of my favorite cuisines? Pasta and me — well, it’s been a life-long love affair. So a note for you Parisians:

We’re doing a gluten-free and vegan Italian cooking (and eating) workshop on November 22nd at 5 Lorette. It’s going to be incredibly decadent and delish, so reserve your spot quickly: contact{a} 5lorette.fr or 01 42 06 59 28!

Happy 11-11 everyone. Not that I’m an expert in numerology, but apparently this is a very auspicious number combination.

Keep warm,

P.S. Oh, and another thrilling thing? My first favorites post was a year ago, Oct. 2015! So you’ve had a year of hearing all about my favorites! (Missed some of them? Click here.) Maybe it’s time for some feedback. And by maybe I mean, I-would-truly-appreciate-any-and-all-feedback… Are you enjoying these favorites? Is there something that you’d like to see/hear more about? Let me know in the comments below, or just send us an email at: hello {a} veggiemagnifique.com (That weird “@” is to prevent spam bots from emailing us strange things, Mom.)

P.S.S. By the way… aren’t Moms the best? Fans of their children for life and brilliant copy editors. 😉 Juno and Carol, we love you.
