The magic of a duo is that there’s always someone who’s got your back.
Before we went on stage last Saturday at Veggie World, I turned to Chloe, “Thank God you’re here.”
“Oh man,” replied Chloe. “Thank God you’re here.”
I knew we’d make it through our presentation to a packed auditorium because Chloe was there, and vice versa. I knew that even if I royally screwed up, Chloe would know how to fix it, and she knew that if she forgot something, I’d remember.
Those who think that they can “go it alone” are mistaken.
The secret to any real success is other people. Because even if you don’t have a bestie business partner and you have your own business, chances are that you have an assistant, or a web developer, or at the very least, a mom who proofreads your copy. It takes teamwork to make the dream work, and Chloe and I know this oh-so-well.
Furthermore, at least in the world of social business, success must certainly be measured by other people — that is, the people you inspire, and the lives you change.
We sought to change a few lives and hearts this time at Veggie World. As you may know, we’re no strangers to giving presentations at this fun and fabulous vegan expo (we’ve done how-to demos on rainbow sushi, moringa chia pudding, as well as moringa superfood bars in previous years,) but this time we wanted to get down to the nitty-gritty of our jam…. i.e. How to be a healthy vegan. It’s so important, and yet not enough is said about how to eat and live optimally after the animal products are out of the equation.
So much of what differentiates us as vegan bloggers is that we aren’t just in it for the animals — though we adore them, we’re also in it for the planet, and our health. This “trifecta of beneficial-ness” is such a win-win-win, and we wanted to share our holistic approach to health and veganism with everyone at Veggie World.
And what a crowd!
A few of the points we addressed in our presentation were:
Here’s a lil’ peek into our presentation at Veggie World, as well as a bit of our frolicking around the expo to see friends and colleagues. We hope you enjoy!
So, tell us… did you make it to Veggie World? Or if you live outside of Paris, have you been to a Veggie World in your city, and any other vegfest? What do you make of it?
Lastly, to those of you who came to see our conference — thank you so so much! You make this wild blogger ride worth every minute. And to everyone else, we’ll see you at the next one!
High five, team veggie! 🙌🏻
