Bullet Journaling for Productivity

Things are busy... rrrreally busy. Planning a wedding simultaneously with a few other really important secret projects has got me feeling a bit overwhelmed. And what do I do when I get overwhelmed?

Bullet Journaling for Productivity

So now that the cat’s out of the bag, I can tell all.

(Just kidding. I’d never tell all. ?)

No, but in all seriousness, things are busy… rrrreally busy. Planning a wedding simultaneously with a few other really important secret projects has got me feeling a bit overwhelmed. And what do I do when I get overwhelmed?

I go analog, baby.

Analog Productivity

I get out my pens and notebook and organize my life. Bullet journaling is one of my productivity tricks that works every time, gives me respite from screens, and is fun and creative to boot. Does it take some time? Sure. But my productivity always surges after a little writing, planning, and scheming, so Imma believa.

Since I find bullet journaling so incredibly helpful, I thought I would share some of my fave ways to keeping the plates spinning, in the hopes that it might help/inspire you! (What’s a bullet journal?)

Now, again, I’m Annie Analog, so I’m all about… stationery, but many of the ideas I share in this video can be implemented digitally. (But don’t come cryin’ to me when your eyes get screen-itis.)

Ready, set, Bujo!

Mentioned in the video:

Friends, I apologize for the fact that you can’t see every detail of my book. It turns out that it’s rrrreally tricky to film these – the bungee chords involved would’ve made you laugh. But I’ll get better. That is… unless you find these kinds of videos totally boring, in which case, do let me know (nicely.)

You could say, “Ann, please just give me more cookie recipes. I can’t draw.” To which I’d say, “S’matter fact I’ve got a yummy one coming your way in two weeks, but FYI you don’t have to draw to bullet journal, here’s a really minimalist tutorial.”

See? We’re conversing already. Anyway, I’m here. Let me know your thoughts.

Courage to all my Paris peeps who are melting this week.

I carried an owl vase across an ocean. It never held a single flower. This week's video is about what actually earns its place — across three boys, four years, and one very ruthless edit.
