Full disclosure here… I used to be into dairy.
Before I went vegan many years ago, anything cheesy, alfredo-y, ice creamy… was my jam. See, I loved (and still do) creamy-cream textures and rich flavors, and thought that that could exclusively be found in dairy products.
But I was wrong.
When I started to truly understand the truth about dairy, and its effects, I changed my tune. And to my surprise, I found out that the textures I sought could be found in plant-based sources – no sacrifice involved, on either end.
“Hallelujah! I can have my cake and eat it, too!” And you know I do.
So, too, can you. Trust me… if I can eradicate dairy from my diet, cream-meister that I am, anyone can. (Learn more about plant-based ways to make things creamy.)
Now, if you’re here reading this (thank you), you probably either drink plant milk or have dabbled in it.
To the dabblers, my sincerest hope is that this video helps you commit to drinking non-cow milk forever more. For the already-on-board-non-dairy-drinkers, may this video serve as additional evidence to help you make more informed decisions.
Which is the healthiest? Which one works the best for sumptuous desserts? Which one allows us to sleep well at night, knowing we’re not tarnishing our beautiful planet?
It’s all in the video.
*Spoiler alert: Although there are pros and cons to each plant milk, they still beat dairy by a landslide, health-wise, planet-wise, and ethically.*
Just really quick, though, here’s some pleasure reading – isn’t learning the ultimate pleasure? – about dairy and its effects. Some of it is hard to stomach, but let’s spill it… (and yes, it’s worth crying over.)
Now that that’s done and dusted, let’s get into the video – a rundown of all (or most) of the most popular plant milks on the market, including all the pros and cons. Hope it demystifies things a bit for you!
Above all, let’s all do our best to remoove dairy, shall we? ?
Your body, the cows, and the planet will thank you. And I certainly want to thank you for coming by Veggie Magnifique, friends.
Oh… and which milk is the creamiest in my opinion? This one.
See you in the comments. (Vote on your fave plant milk!)
P.S. If you’ve heard dirty talk about soy, my bestie Chloe and I cleared up all that confusion in this video.

I already mix two milks, rice and organic soy, but I’m going to switch it up and try oat with the soy. That’s good advice to read the list of ingredients, because you sure don’t need added sugar or some of the other add-ins.
Thanks for the good advice. Most people do want good nutrition and to save the planet.
That’s great! I highly recommend you try Oatly, the normal one, or Chobani Extra Creamy (for super creamy oat milk.) Those are my favorites. You wouldn’t believe all the plant milks out there with a ton of added sugar! Thanks so much for your comment.
Based on your recommendation, I am switching from Almond Milk too Oatmilk. I like it! Thanks!
