Let’s just lay everything on the table here… I don’t always enjoy broccoli.
I don’t.
Squishy-mushy broccoli makes me want to run the other way screaming.
And yet, we all know that broccoli is bodaciously beneficial, so it behooves us to get jiggy with it.
In a word, sulforaphane.
Here’s the thing… cruciferous vegetables are believed to have various health benefits, such as preventing DNA damage and the spread of metastatic cancer, activating defenses against pathogens and pollutants, aiding in lymphoma prevention, enhancing liver detox enzymes, targeting breast cancer stem cells, and reducing the risk of prostate cancer progression.
All because of this fabulous lil’ component called sulforaphane.
Which is amazing, right?

In short, hold your horses… i.e. don’t overcook it.

In today’s video I share many more fun facts (as well as a few recipes) so that you and broccoli can become besties for life. Ready?
Mentioned in the video:
So, who’s ready to party with broccoli?! (Or as my son calls them, “broccoli trees.”)
What’s your fave way to eat broccoli? Would love to hear about it in the comments!
Until next time, remember to go with the flow…rette, 😉
