There are many esoteric things you never think about until you’re a parent.

One of these things is diapers.

So seemingly inconsequential and uncomplicated to the non-parent, once you have a pooing baby, diapers become a matter of consequence – i.e. something you’re researching in the middle of the night, while nursing your newborn for the third time… and suddenly you’re in a diaper rabbit hole.

Or maybe it’s just me, but today’s post is the result of me being that new mom looking up “best diapers” on her phone at 3am.

Not quite.

Sleep: The official holy grail when you become a parent.

So, a diaper that wicks away moisture and minimizes leaks is of the essence, especially at night. (A note: we are doing Elimination Communication (EC), which has been amazing, but our son does still wear diapers, and we don’t do EC at night.)
