It’s true… my favorite time of day is eat o’clock.
My belle famille gets a kick out of (or is potentially driven insane by) my “incessant” need to eat. Call me crazy, but I prefer to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner… and, often, an afternoon snack. I don’t eat much, per se, but I need to eat often. Basically, I’m a mongoose… a veritable Rikki Tikki Tavi. (Fun fact, the animated version is narrated by Orson Welles.)
I don’t know why I’m telling you all this, actually…
Maybe I hope that some of you out there are like me. That you, too, look forward to mealtimes, and it would never, ever happen in a million years that you would ever forget to eat.
Someone out there?
Before my husband and I embarked on our Balinese honeymoon, we traveled around Mexico with my belle famille (in-laws.) And yes, we had some stellar meals, but there was also a healthy helping of adventuring in between. E.g. Zip-lining, jumping in cenotes, climbing megalithic structures, etc.
Today’s video is purely just a fun dip into our Mexican escapades – what we ate, what we did, where we went, etc. I hope you enjoy adventuring with us, and that it allows you to travel for a few moments wherever you may be!
Have any of you been to some of these sites in Mexico? I’d love to hear about it!
Make sure to visit Forever Vegano if you’re ever in Mexico City – it’s truly one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the world so far. And that’s sayin’ something!
Oh, and my mother-in-law and I also had an insane spa experience at Vitali Spa – that we didn’t film, obvs, we were in the moment! So definitely check out this zen haven as well if ever you’re in Ciudad de México. (We even had an oxygen treatment.)
Sending red-orange papaya + hugs your way,
P.S. Want some healthy travel tips? Here’s how I prepare for my travels.
