How To Be Happier Every Day | Simple Life-Changing Tips

Happiness (noun): The abstract concept that we strive for and urgently seek. The state we equate with problem-free living, absolute ease, and for many, the meaning of life.

Most of us would say that one of our ultimate goals is happiness. We’ve all had euphoric, fleeting moments of it in our lives that have been so intoxicating, that we continually crave it viscerally, and seek it until the end of time. 

Usually in vain.

Welcome to being human.

But if it’s so important to us, why can’t we catch it, dang it? And aren’t there some strategies? (Read on…)

Owning Our Own Happiness

Many of us place our precious happiness in the care or jurisdiction of others – a special someone perhaps? – a practice which ultimately results in disappointment on some level. No. We must take happiness into our own hands – out of other peoples’, and even out of our circumstances… if we’re tryin’ to be “enlightened.” (Aren’t we all?)

As Thich Nhat Hanh so wisely stated, “Enlightenment, peace, and joy will not be granted by someone else. The well is within us, and if we dig deeply in the present moment, the water will spring forth. We must go back to the present moment in order to be really alive.”

So Thich thinks we ought to be in the moment in order for that delicious happiness water “to spring forth”… and though I agree, how in the heck do we get there?

So…

I’ve been waxing philosophical here, and you want some pragmatism for Pete’s Sake. Well, I’ve got that, too. Worry not – today’s video is filled with practical, applicable suggestions, I promise.

Happiness + Health = BFF

Why am I talking about happiness? Well, a few reasons, actually.

As I explain in detail in the video, happiness is an integral part of holistic health. Meaning… you can eat as many zucchini sandwiches as you like, and attend five zumba classes a week, but if you’re unhappy your health will suffer.

And, furthermore, as I have been struggling with happiness myself the last several months, I’ve made it my quest to research tricks and tactics for adding more joy to my jour. And as I’ve had some success in my endeavors recently (thankfully,) I wanted to share my findings with you, dear Magnifique friends, in the hopes that it will help you, too.
