Yoga Teacher Training in India

By the time you’re reading this I’m going to be in New Delhi.

Surprise!

I’m going to be doing a month-long intensive yoga teacher training in the Himalayas!

So, though I’ve been practicing yoga for over 15 years, I never planned to become a yoga teacher. But, oh the beauty of life’s unforeseen adventures!

Let me explain…

(Oh wait, that’s what the video is for…)

?? Yoga Teacher Training in India

To be 100% honest with you, I’m a little bit scared. But I think it’s the kind of fear that you feel when you’re doing the right thing, i.e. going outside of your comfort zone. Prepare as I might for this experience, I’m also prepared to find myself totally unprepared. I’ve never been to India or a place like it, so I can only expect the unexpected.

Many friends of mine have been to India, actually. So I’ve heard fanciful as well as frightening stories. I’ve been told about the colors, the culture, the food, the breathtaking landscapes, the ancient and powerful energy… of course I’ve also been told about seeing dead people in the streets.

So, again, I’m forging into the unknown, but man… facing your fears makes you feel alive.

As I said in the video, I’m going to have to wait and see just how much or how little I can (or want to) film when I’m in India. I’m promising myself to be fully present in the experience as one should do, and I’m sure you understand. That being said, I’ll definitely share my experiences with you when I’m back. (And I’m sure that I’ll be able to share some snippets and pics on our Instagram stories from time to time.)

Let’s talk, friends…

Have you been to India? Or, have you been to yoga teacher training? What was it like for you? I’m all ears, so please let me know in the comments below.

Om, and shanti, and wish me luck, *deep breath*

Ann, your video is so inspiring! I love your message about following your intuition and its great outcomes. Wish you a memorable time in India, on this magnificent land, with your loved ones doing something that really moves you (in and out). Shanti and much masala joy on the way!

Hello dear Claireso! Thank you so much for this lovely message. What an experience so far! And thanks to the beautiful necklace that you loaned me, I’m making friends already. (The good kind.) 🙂 I really do believe in following your intuition (and your dreams,) I think that’s the stuff a happy life is made out of. ❤️ But it *does* take courage… a lot of it sometimes!!!! Love to you!

I carried an owl vase across an ocean. It never held a single flower. This week's video is about what actually earns its place — across three boys, four years, and one very ruthless edit.
