What a week for Veggie Magnifique!
We’ve had beautiful events to attend every single day, starting with a yogi breakfast, then a meet up for female entrepreneurs, then onto a kundalini workshop with world-famous musicians, and finally a delightful vegan-foodie celebration. This blogger life is a charmed one!
Not to mention we were featured on prominent anglophone blog Les Lolos. If you haven’t already, check out our top ten spots in Paris for a cherry-picked list of healthy go-tos. In addition to our top holistic healthcare providers and purveyors of tea, we went above and beyond to bring you the best of the Parisian vegan patisserie scene. (Yes, it’s a scene now – prepare to be amazed!)
So, what’s the only thing to do when you’ve maxed out on vegan tarte aux fraises?
Yoga, always.
It’s great to head to a class, but some days that’s just not going to happen. And for days like these, never fear – we have a growing playlist of Magnifique yoga breaks on YouTube to support your home practice. They’re short, effective, and feature the most delightful yogis Paris has to offer.
And talking of delightful, we are thrilled to introduce you to our yogi of the month, Julia Truffaut.
Julia is an experienced teacher of prenatal, postnatal and vinyasa yoga, and is a well-loved member of the Parisian yogi tribe.
We adore her friendly and loving nature, and her inspiring social media feed.
Julia is a passionate and inspiring yogi who seeks to guide her students towards more inner connection, through a gentle and heartfelt yoga practice. She focuses on helping her students find inner strength and balance, both through her teaching and through her expertise with essential oils.
In this month’s Magnifique yoga break, we are honouring all you mamas-to-be out there, with a restorative prenatal yoga practice, led by this darling yogi and mother.
Yoga is an excellent practice during pregnancy, for maintaining suppleness and for deepening the breath. (I’ve heard this may come in handy during labour. 😉 )
Now in my seventh month of pregnancy, I continue to practise daily. My morning yoga ritual affords me a healing check-in that helps me cope with tiredness and my whirring brain.
In short, it’s a beautiful tool for making the most of this special time. And you don’t have to practise for an hour to reap the benefits; you can find peace and stillness within a few minutes. That’s why we decided to make this video practice short and sweet.
This class was filmed at the gorgeous Qee Palais Royal studio. It’s a zen haven right in the middle of Paris – be sure to check out their programme of classes and workshops.
We hope you enjoy finding peace and calm with Julia. You are of course welcome to do this practice even if you’re not pregnant – it’s a wonderful way to chill out after a busy day.
