{ Health } Top Vegan Supplements

In a perfect world, we’d be eating a plantiful rainbow, plus some vegan blueberry corncakes thrown in for good measure, and all our nutrients would be covered.

But in this imperfect world, there are toxins… everywhere.

There are excitotoxins and pharmaceutical residues. There’s crap in most cosmetics, environmental toxins, and partially hydrogenated oils thrown around willy-nilly into packaged “foods.”

(And yes, they need to be detoxified if we desire radiant health. Chloe’s protocol will get you started on this.)

So, unless you live on a self-sufficient, off-grid organic farmland paradise with fertile soil, un-messed-with seeds and no pesticides (and you’ve done a blood test and checked your stats)…

You probably would do well to supplement.

(If you have found the aforementioned farmland paradise, send me an email, I’ll come join you. Did I mention I make great muffins?)

Isn’t a Vegan Diet Enough?

In terms of diet, in our extensive research, it is clearly a whole-foods plant based vegan diet that provides the most bang for your buck, nutrient-wise. This way of eating is by far the most effective diet to ward off and/or cure disease, detoxify the body, and certainly the best way to ensure that you’ll have fewer deficiencies (contrary to “popular” belief caused by meat-headed fear-mongering.)

But, the thing is… it’s not just about your diet.

It’s Holistic.

So much has to do with your body’s ability to absorb vitamins, minerals and nutrients, as well. So, for example, say you take a bunch of iron capsules… in theory this should help your iron levels, but if your body isn’t absorbing it, you’ll continue to have deficiencies.

Which of course brings us to the holistic element of our body’s functioning. Why wouldn’t our bodies properly absorb nutrients?

Each of us has a unique organism that is also affected by factors outside of our diets — stress, especially, our level of physical activity, and the health (or lack thereof) of the many systems in our bodies. All of these factors affect not only the absorption of nutrients, but every. single. function. of our body.

This topic is deep and vast and complicated, I know.

Don’t despair. Here’s the long and the short of it:

  • Do a blood test to find out what your levels are. (Knowing is better than guessing.)
  • Eat as many colorful plants as you can, just as a rule.
  • Supplement accordingly.

Today’s video is all about the vegan supplements that we take and why. We truly hope that this will demystify things for you, give you ideas, and help you on your path of radiant health and well-being.
