Grounded | Vegan Coffee Shop in Paris

Grounded is the latest and greatest that’s been improving my quality of life and my disposition. Of course... now that the weather's lovely and there are cinnamon rolls, color me massively contented.

Grounded | Vegan Coffee Shop in Paris

I’m one of those people who is extremely affected by the weather.

(Yes, I’m talking about the weather — just bear with me…)

I’m not sure sure what this says about me or my mental makeup, but to me, the weather can mean the difference between a “meh” day and a marvelous one.

Aside from the Notre Dame fire, that shook us all the world over, the last couple of days in Paris have been beautiful – sunny and balmy, and just delicious. And lo and behold, all of a sudden, my outlook is rosier. People seem friendlier. I’m catching myself singing as I walk to meetings and jobs… I swear, it’s like Amélie – Paris in technicolor.

Or maybe it’s just me.

For, surely, there are those who enjoy bundling up and dressing in layers, crisp breezes, and seeing one’s breath when exhaling… I am not one of those people. I’m telling you, one day in the not-so-distant future, I’ll be living in a tropical country. Sunshine. Warm breezes. Sundresses. That’s my style.

The only reason I’ve even been able to handle Paris weather (after having spent a decade in Southern California prior,) is the fact that: a) Paris is gorgeous, b) I have wonderful amis, and c) there’s an endless stream of vegan cafes and coffee shops that keep popping up all over the place keeping me here with their delectable treats.

Grounded is the latest and greatest that’s been improving my quality of life and my disposition. Of course… now that the weather’s lovely and there are cinnamon rolls, color me massively contented.

But, seriously...

Friends… unlike my extreme sensitivity to the weather, this is a serious matter. This place is seriously amazing. Run, don’t walk, to Grounded to get the best avo toast and cinnamon roll of your life.

So, let’s jump into the delectable world of Grounded. (You’ll notice that I’m doing all of the eating. It’s not because I’m a glutton – I swear – it’s because the treats aren’t “BLE-friendly.” As such, I had to take it for the team and do all the eating. *darn* Consider Chloe the most self-disciplined lady in the land.)

Remember… it’s not sinful, if there’s cinnamon.

I suggest you go with several friends so that you can try everything. And when you do, make sure to tag us @veggiemagnifique so that we can drool, and plan our next visit.

What about you guys? Are you affected by the sunshine as much as I am? Anyone?

Here’s hoping your weekend includes cinnamon and avo… though not necessarily in the same dish,
